Writer. Researcher. Speaker. Artist. Maverick Academic. Working at the intersection of digital learning and literacies, Kelly explores social digital ways of working, learning, living. Her current work focuses on the arts, non-profit and higher education sectors.
Kelly has a PhD on Web Knowledge and is an editorial board member of Technoculture. Her work is published in International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, Psychology & Marketing, Behavior & Information Technology, International Journal of Retailing & Distribution Management, Marketing Review, Strategic Change, Journal of Marketing Management and Journal of Consumer Behaviour. She won Best AM Paper in Interactive Marketing 2010 for The Web Makes Me Feel project and opened TedxCardiff 2011 speaking on Rediscovering Friendship.
Kelly moved from the UK to Chicago in 2012 and volunteers as a BVA consultant for the Arts and Business Council of Chicago. She formally joins the Department of Arts, Entertainment and Media Management (AEMM) at Columbia College Chicago, as an Assistant Professor in August 2013.
