Bio: Leah Hamilton is the Executive Director for the Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC), serving Springfield and 27 counties in Southwest Missouri. Through the SRAC, she acts as spokesperson and regional arts resource to promote arts and culture in the area as well as encourages the sustainability of area arts organizations and cultural facilities through professional development programs, cultural policymaking, and collaborative marketing. Hamilton serves as the Southwest Regional Vice President for Missouri Citizens for the Arts and is currently the co-chair for the City of Springfield’s Arts, Culture and Tourism strategic planning committee. Also an active professional singer, Hamilton has been named Springfield (Mo.) Business Journal’s top 40 under 40 (2009) and Most Influential Women (2012) for her work in the arts in Missouri.
