Bio: Karen Bubb is the Public Arts Manager for the Boise City Department of Arts & History and the downtown redevelopment agency. She consults and provides workshops statewide for municipalities and arts organizations regarding public art, creativity and cultural policy and is an adjunct professor at Boise State University. Bubb has grown Boise City’s collection from five to over ninety artworks in 13 years time and overseen the passage and successful implementation of a percent for art ordinance. Bubb completed a Masters in Public Administration and Community and Regional Planning Certificate is also an active visual artist with a BFA from the University of Oregon. She works in many mediums including stained glass, encaustic painting, ceramics, printmaking and collage.
